Our Top 5 Favorite Boat Renovation Projects of 2021

At the end of each year, we enjoy reflecting on all the projects that we’ve completed for our clients. We’re so proud of the hard work that goes into each unique project and the outcomes of each boat we work on.

Here are the five boat renovation projects that earned themselves a top spot on our ‘favorites’ list. From complete restorations to polishing work, we’re proud to bring new life to used boats, no matter the project.

Let’s get to our favorite projects of 2021

2015 Monterey 268 SS

This boat comes from Lansing, Michigan area. In its original condition, an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) had installed SeaDek. The SeaDek started to fail and needed to be removed. We removed the failing SeaDek and performed a custom pattern and install of GatorStep.

1992 Sea Ray Sundancer 370

This boat was in heated storage in LaPorte, Indiana and we worked on it over the winter. In its original condition, there was no existing extended platform. We performed a custom pattern and install of a “Top Mount” Swim Platform-ULTRA. Additionally, we also performed a custom pattern and install of Snap-In Mats to the interior of the boat.

2005 Bentley 240

This boat comes all the way from Chapel Hill, North Carolina! Its original condition can be considered as well-used. With that, we performed a complete restoration, which includes flooring, decking, seats, console with gauges and controls. The products used on this boat include Infinity Luxury Woven Vinyl, marine plywood, Wise Premier Seating, a fiberglass console, Faria Beede Marine Gauges, SeaStar, GatorStep and Sony Marine Stereo Speakers.

2018 Bay Harbor 25 Tri-toon

This boat is from Devils Lake, Michigan. While this is a newer boat, it had been experiencing quality issues. We performed console wire organization and management, repositioned the captain chair, and fixed the railing trim. We also added a Multifunction Display (MFD), additional sensors, and drainage to seat bases. The products used on this boat include Starboard, GatorStep Marine Non-Skid Flooring, and a Garmin Multifunction Display.

2018 South Bay 723 Tri-toon

This boat comes from Clarkston, Michigan. Its original condition is newer, but in need of polishing. We performed our Toon Polishing Service and used intense labor to do so. Toon Polishing requires lots of hands-on-deck and precise attention to detail. As an add on, we applied GatorStep on the Console and Ski Locker.

As we wrap up 2021, we are reminded how grateful we are for our clients and the ability to do what we love. Stay tuned for all our upcoming projects in 2022! We look forward to hearing from you to get your boat looking and performing its best in 2022.
